| A new Triticale developed by Oah Haven Forages . This is a cross between a cereal rye and a wheat and has been preferred in many wildlife forage trials by universities. Triticale has the palatability of wheat along with the fast growth and cold tolerance of the cereal rye. It has a protein content of 16 to 18% and is highly preferred by Whitetail Deer over other cool season grains. It needs a seeding rate of 55 - 75 lbs. per acre depending upon deer densities. | ||
